The idea of ​​creating MAWAKARTE was born in 2016, when I decided to take proper care of my hair and adopt the Afro style. I started researching Afro hair, exploring the best oils for hair growth, products that provided deep hydration, and how to use them efficiently. It was at that moment that I understood the crucial role that oils play in the hair routine. I discovered that I had an African treasure at home without knowing it: shea, a butter rich in vitamins and fatty acids.

At that time, it was not easy to find products specifically for Afro hair and I didn't have a specialist store nearby. I had to travel to big cities to get them. So I started mixing different oils, with the intention of creating natural hair products, using shea as a base, until I found the perfect combination.

The products I created helped me tremendously in the recovery and improvement, as well as the growth of my hair. Seeing the positive results, I decided to share them with people close to me, and they also had excellent results. Now, they have healthy, strong and shiny hair.

To make it easier to apply, I created MWK's signature mousse texture, preventing the product from hardening in the winter due to the shea or being too runny in the summer.
